One may request a special prayer for the sick, known as “ Mi Shebairach," to be recited at the Torah. In this prayer, one pledges to give charity in the merit of the ill. It is preferable to provide the reader with the person's Hebrew name, and that of his or her mother.

The walls at the Chabad Jewish Center are adorned with a Memorial Wall.

The Memorial Wall provides the opportunity to engrave a Yahrtzeit, ensuring everlasting memory and a mitzvah in merit of the soul of those who have passed on.
